There are so many cases when you need to identify unique or duplicate items in a list. And, sometimes you don't want to just 'remove duplicates' you want to first identify them and THEN delete or manipulate them. This powerful CF feature is built in and ready to use. We will also go over a formula alternative example that will show you how to identify the true 'duplicate' value - as apposed to identifying both.

Format Unique & Duplicate Values

If you're working with a large data set, it's easiest to first develop a built-in condition and format the duplicates with a colored fill. Then, you can use auto filters to quickly identify and address those unique or duplicate values.
